This short video clip was filmed in Albuquerque. It shows Sabine, who was born with small arms, due to the drug Thalidomide.
She learnt how to drive when she was 18 years old.
Until 2001 she always has had foot controlled cars (see "A Day In The Life Of The Spirit Dancer")
As these modifications are very expensive, she decided to teach herself how to drive her car without any modifications.
Today she is able to drive any car, as long as it has an automatic transmission.
This short video clip was filmed in Wasilla, AK in 2001. It shows Sabine, who was born with small arms, due to the drug Thalidomide.
The camera followed her for an entire day. It shows her applying make up, washing dishes, driving her car and making her famous Alaskan Spirit Dancers.
"Armless Surfer" was shot in Pismo Beach, CA in September 2010.
With this video Sabine is hoping to dispel the myths of Disability.
It is supposed to challenge the misconceptions about People With Disabilities, and also educate about the new face of Living with a Disability.
